Who We Are
The in Harmonie Team is a team of Christ-followers who intentionally create opportunities for rest, restoration, and reconciliation for Christian servant-leaders and ministries throughout Africa. Our team’s prayer and desire is that every leader will experience and connect with God through our Encounters.
REST
(Jesus said) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- Matthew 11:28-30 NIV
RESTORATION
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- 2 Corinthians 13:11 ESV
RECONCILIATION
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
- 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 NASB

DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
THE APOSTLES' CREED
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

OUR PEOPLE
THE BOARD
Cassie Carstens
“We are living in a very volatile world where leadership is challenged on all levels. Most leaders are drained to the core, and they need rest, restoration, and reconciliation. These capacity-building encounters are received when you visit in Harmonie. The testimonies of those who have been to in Harmonie are overwhelming. All return home refreshed and empowered, ready to run the good race with invigorated passion. Being a board member offers me the opportunity to support the Executive Chair and staff in the amazing work that they are doing in God’s Kingdom. in Harmonie is truly a place of change!”
Hanneli Rupert- Koegelenberg
“As a musician, I understand the importance of creating melodies, for instruments and voices to combine, and to create beautiful harmonies. I believe that the Body of Christ is creating spiritual harmonies at in Harmonie. As we wait on the Lord, we hear His voice inviting us to rest in His presence, to be restored to one another, and to bring about reconciliation between races and cultures. In 2006, standing on La Motte Farm, God gave me a vision for a unique place of prayer, in Harmonie is the fulfilment of that vision. It is the prayer of my heart that the melodies we create will resound to every corner of the earth.”
Hein Koegelenberg
“It is so easy to get caught up in all the challenges facing South Africa. in Harmonie is focused on facilitating understanding and tolerance. I am dedicated to the vision of finding harmony. I see my role in challenging the obvious and finding fresh perspectives. If we are going to make a real difference, we need the right people, and we need to stay in touch with what is happening at a grassroots level. I believe in the dream, but I also believe in being practical when it comes to implementation. Most of all, it is my pleasure and privilege to support Hanneli in her vision for in Harmonie.”
Moss Ntlha
“I am a disciple-maker. I love to facilitate a culture where people connect with Jesus, so that they get to live out their best selves. Being a South African, I lament that history has dealt so many people a bad hand, forcing them to live far below their God-given potential. I believe, as Christians, it is important to sow seeds of reconciliation. Someday it will be a forest of good hope and social harmony.”
Anneke Rabe

Surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation, every encounter at in Harmonie is life-changing.”

“I am a traveller, philanthropist, conservationist who is also invested in creative businesses. What gets me out of bed in the morning is the passion to uplift and give hope to people. I see so much potential in our country to heal and grow in unity by taking the first brave steps in coming together in a safe space and having courageous conversations with each other. in Harmonie has a big role to play in creating unity between people.”
Peter Tarantal
“It is such a joy to serve on the in Harmonie Board!
