More about Lume
A first-year student at Timothy Ministry Training, Lume explained that although she is still figuring out what she wants to do in the future, she believes that she has a calling to go into nursing. God confirmed it with a word, saying that she will one day be a ‘mother of many.” Lume isn’t sure what the future may hold, but she’s excited to find out.
What are some of the challenges you face in your daily life?
Currently, Lume is staying with her parents in Wellington. “That’s a big challenge for me at the moment,” Lume explained. She continued to laughingly express how at times she gets upset because she can’t stay with the other students on campus, feeling as if there are experiences that she might miss out on while she’s at home. However, “this might be exactly what God is planning on teaching me this year, how to have peace with myself and stop worrying about being everywhere all the time,” Lume explained.
How do you overcome these challenges?
Lume says that she overcomes these challenges by facing them head-on. She believes that although you can hide from your problems, they’re still going to be there, and they aren’t going anywhere. Lume believes that by taking small steps and getting support from others, you can overcome any challenge.
What is one of the best memories of your life?
The day she committed her life to the Lord is one of the highlights of Lume’s life, she’s still young, she emphasises and believes that the best is yet to come.
Any words of advice for people who need hope?
Lume confidently says that when she’s feeling hopeless, it always helps to have faith in God and faith that you can face anything that life throws your way.
