Job title and more about yourself.

I am a dreamer, an idealist and a strategic goal-setter. I love being creative and seek out the road less travelled. I am in love with my husband and little baby boy (5 months) and wish only to follow the life journey which God has set out for me. I speak French fluently, love music, art and décor and I love good food and wine.

Can you briefly name a few of the opportunities you had while growing up that made you the person you are today?

I was extremely privileged to have grown up in a home where my parents never pushed me to pursue a certain career path, but rather encouraged me to follow my passions and grow my talents. Therefore, I was able to explore and get to know myself without pressure or expectations.

Can you briefly describe your experience at In Harmonie?

I was impressed by the incredible tranquillity, the thought that went into the design of the space, and the purpose thereof. I felt so thankful to have been able to experience it. It is a real sanctuary for the soul.

What do you think some of the challenges are in building a more harmonious South Africa?

The hurt of the past, generational anger, judgement, intolerance, the lack of Godly love and acceptance.

How do you think a person moves from a state of disharmony to harmony?

By experiencing the love of Jesus Christ and being shown how it is lived.

Personally – by finding peace and acceptance and a place to belong amongst your loved ones.

Politically – by forgiving and moving forward in peace.

Spiritually – by welcoming the Holy Spirit into your heart, mind and soul.

How do you and your organisation engage in this process of change?

We, as MOVEPRETTY, strive to speak life over the lives of women, to do their thing unapologetically and to live healthy, active lives in the fullness of their God-given beauty.

How do you see the way forward for yourself and South Africa?

I see myself planted where God wants me to flourish, in all my gifts, and living this out for his Kingdom, wherever His grace leads me. I believe we all play a crucial role to speak life, to live purposefully and to be mindful of the needs of others. I see myself as a hard worker to make a difference, and to seek His will above all things in all I do.

Any words of advice or encouragement you would like to share with those who feel like they have lost hope.

I have personally experienced, that God is the God of Hope – and of second chances. Of Grace that knows no bounds, and of promises which stand forever in His word. He is never changing, always true and steadfast. Wait on His voice, and expect that He will meet you in your deepest needs. He knows you inside out and has gone before you to pave the way – trust Him wholeheartedly.
